Vitamin B12 is a water soluble vitamin naturally present in the food and also available as dietary supplements. It is also called as coalmines. It mainly involves in the formation of RBC cells, neurological functions and DNA synthesis. In dietary supplements, vitamin B12 is usually present as cyanocobalamin in which the body converts to the active form of methylcobalamine and 5-deoxyadenosylcobalamin.
