Effectiveness of Menopausal Empowerment Strategies on Awareness Regarding Health-Promoting Lifestyle Modifications among Post-Menopausal Women

Background: Menopause is a unique event in women's life which occurs around the age of 50 and is a stage that all women would experience. Life expectancy has risen among women in the world and women spend about one-third of their lives during menopause period. This period of life includes physical as well as psychological difficulties that changes the lifestyle of women in multiple ways. Empowerment during this stage can contribute to improving the perception on importance of self-care.

Objective: The present study aims to observe the effectiveness of menopausal empowerment strategies on awareness regarding health promoting Lifestyle modification among postmenopausal women and the current experiment also focus to find out the association of post-test awareness score with chosen socio demographic variables. In this research the researcher also focusses on to find out the post- menopausal health problems among the ladies following their fertile period.

Methodology: A pre-experimental one group pre-test post-test research design was used to achieve the objectives of the study. The researchers done the data collection from 303 postmenopausal women from two different setting. The sample is accomplished with a convenient sampling technique.

Results and Conclusion: The present day observe was in burn up to be able to examine the efficiency of a menopausal empowerment strategies on health promotion lifestyle modification amongst postmenopausal women. The educational kit was effective as denoted by t value of 67.05 in awareness scores at P<0.05.

Effectivness of a Leg Crossing and Muscle Tensing Technique on Decreasing Vasovagal Symptoms among Adolescents (10- 19 Years of Age) Undergoing Venipuncture at Selected Hospital Belagavi

Intravenous cannulation is a common procedure that can cause vasovagal symptoms among adolescents (10-19 yrs of age). Thus a study was conducted on 76 adolescents those who were admitted in pediatric wards of KLE’s Dr. Prabhakar Kore charitable hospital, Belagavi. To evaluate the effectiveness of a leg crossing and muscle tensing technique on decreasing vasovagal symptoms among adolescents during venipuncture. The subjects were selected by using non probability convenient sampling technique. Data collection was done through observational check list, with an evaluative approach. The study revealed that, subjects in the experimental group accomplished decreased vasovagal symptoms as compared to control group it is statistically significant at P <0.05 level.

Promotion and Site Visits to a Web Portal with a Focus on Health and Inclusion (D+Informação) for Persons with Disabilities, Family Members and Professionals

Objective: To describe the promotion of the D+Informação Web Portal and analyze site visit data.

Method: This is a descriptive study with a quantitative approach on the promotion of a Health Portal (D+Informação) via social networks, websites, magazines, and newspapers. The data was collected using the Google Analytics® (www.google.com/analytics) software for monitoring website traffic and included information on user behavior within the site.

Results: In the first month after launch and promotion, the portal received 4,525 visits from all Brazilian states and 27 countries, with an average duration of 2 minutes and 36 seconds per visit and a 60.09% bounce rate. The Brazilian state with the highest number of visits in the analyzed period was São Paulo, with 63.35% (n=2,760), followed by Minas Gerais with 11.82% (n=515). The cell phone was the most used device to access the D+Informação pages, accounting for 77.70% of the visits (n=3516).

Conclusion: This study showed that it is possible to promote a tool in the virtual environment, without paying for boosting on virtual social networks, provided that the promotion, associated with the analysis of site visit data, is well directed to the target audience and carried out by a synchronized and trained team.

Resilience management helps an organization to adapt to crisis. It supports business operators to deal with repetitive changes while managing risks and probabilities. This will give the organization an advantage to increase its performance. Healthcare sector mostly profited from this concept recently during COVID-19. Whereas, clinical governance is a very known framework in healthcare. It consists of improving and offering high standards of care while maintaining a supportive environment for the providers. Understanding greatly both concepts will create a solid combination that will help healthcare planners to operate easily in organizations, especially in moderate and low-income countries. For this purpose, the present paper discussed resilience management and clinical governance, and illustrates a simple strategic framework to be applied.
